Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Church is family. We are called the family of God and the body of Christ. We belong together and need one another. Sadly someone has once said that the Sunday church service has become one of the most segregated places in our present American culture. For some reason we have felt it necessary to cater to all and everyone’s special interests, which in turn has split us up more so than bring us together as a church family. Our philosophy at Common Ground is that all people and ages, from the very young to the very old, need each other and can learn and grow together in a covenant community. In a day and age where families are so fractured, we stress building strong and loving cohesive family units that grow up together in Jesus Christ.
We provide a great and caring nursery for our youngest covenant children under the age of 2, and for those children ages 2 and up we provide solid and energized biblical training and teaching.
Common Ground Church welcomes children of all ages to actively participate in the worship service. However, if you feel your child will benefit from learning with other kids their age we do offer Sunday School! Your child(ren) will participate in musical worship and corporate prayer and will dismissed before the Pastor’s sermon for a brief lesson and activity. They will rejoin the congregation before communion and the end of the service.
